This is when a brief is available to any company to be a part of. To all of the companies that participate their work will be judged and which ever one the company feels like fit the brief they will give them the job. This is a very similar brief to tenders brief.

An informal brief is when the client will have a meeting in order to talk about what they which to happen. This bridf does not involve a contract or any form of written document, when the client is discussing their plans tin person instead of it written this then means that they have freedom as there is no set date making this less more complicated as they do not have to run to dead lines. This can also be bad due to the fact that this is not a written document meaning that people may not remember what is going on.

Formal-

This is an example of a formal brief due to the fact that this is a contract that is witten out that a company will have to follow, this are things that they can and cant do. The client will give this to the company to insure that their needs are meet. This contract does not always cover legal issues which could be very risky for the company to follow through with this. This contract helps the company better understand what the clinet wants.

This is important due to the fact when reading the brief you will get an understanding of what is required sfrom them.

Negotiating a brief-

Negotiated brief is when there are two or more parties involved that come together in order to talk about ideas for a project. They do not stop this discussion until they are all in agreement which could possible that hours. They will need to go through the contract to decide what is best for the client. This then helps the company expand and enhance what they feel best fits the brief.
