Do I wanna know?
The music video was released in 2013. This video is an able to challenge conventions because this is not a performance, there is no lip- syncing involved so therefore thois is an abstract video. The lines are moving to the beat this is something an electrocardiogram, they uese rhymic editing. The video also has a narrative due to the fact that we see women being sexulised. This doesnt break conventions ask they are sexulising women which goes back to the 1940's as Nat King cole had also sexulised women in his music video. In this video we are unable to see them as a group. This is artistic due to the fact they want you to foucus on the lryics rather than the visuals.
Arabella has a narrative in the begining of the music video making it a short film. This also sexulises women in the music video, however this is one of the videos that we actually get to see the artists perform. They are lip syncing to the track this means that this is not preformed live. This video was recorded in 2014, it has become much more frequent for music videos to be in colour however this is then turning back into the olden times. This is also ryhmic editing due to the fact that as parts where the tempo will speed up the music video will also and then when is slows down it would get slower.
In conclusion I feel that they have changed their image due to the fact they had staryted of as being artistic and then they became much more a performance group do to the fact they are promopting themself instead of just their music.
