Single Camera Production
This shot is used when one character is filmed looking of the screen or at another character and then the other character is shown looking back at the character that was first seen. Normally they use over the shoulder shots when filming the shot/reverse shot. This is one of the examples of eye line match up where you have to make sure that both the characters eyes are at the same level so that it does not look unnatural so that the audience will not feel unsettled and confused to why the characters eyes do not match up. Also this is the use of the 180 degree rule so that the shot is done correctly and the characters do not look out of place to the audience.
